This group offers skills, psychoeducation, and support to create exposure plans. It is intended for individuals who have completed ERP therapy and would like additional support for lapse and relapse. However, it may also be helpful for those looking to supplement their individual therapy.

This is not a substitute for therapy.

While this group does cover Exposure and Response Prevention, it is a non-clinical group. Our goal is to offer space for practicing skills and seek support with continuing exposures after therapy.

This skills group covers creation and planning of exposures and education of response prevention skills. This group does not explore comorbid conditions, trauma, or core fears and beliefs that contribute to OCD.

Did you know OCD is considered a neurodivergence? OCD is something you have for life and when you exit therapy, you enter a maintenance phase. You must continue to practice ERP skills outside of therapy to prevent relapse of compulsions. Lapsing and having OCD recur is very common and part of the process!

While little research in the efficacy of skills groups like this exists, there is literature that suggests skills groups that focus on commonalities between members are effective in improvement of symptomology.

Exposure and Response Prevention is the gold standard treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and can also be helpful for phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, and even avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder.

ERP typically consists of a creation of a fear/trigger list, an exposure hierarchy, and completing exposures both in session with a mental health professional and at home.

Unfortunately, I cannot accept insurance at this time. The group is $50/session which I hope makes it accessible to most folks. This may change in the future.
